I hope this message finds you well. Can you believe it’s already December? While time is flying by I want to take a moment to pause and thank you! Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for your encouragement. Thank you for your support. Thank you for your love. Thank you for making this world a better place! Thank you for doing all the little things. Thank you for being leaders at home, at church and in the community. Thank you for all the good seeds you have sown throughout this crazy year.
I’m encouraged this morning by this verse, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
Do not give up friends! Do not lose heart! The Lord your God is with you and His promises are true. WE WILL REAP A HARVEST! Hallelujah!
And if that promise isn’t encouraging enough it’s followed with even more encouragement, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Galatians 6:10 Let’s be the kind of people who are continually good to all (& especially to each other)!
I love you all, thank God for you and want to celebrate a few “FIRSTS” with you. FIRSTS are always exciting! Do you remember your first date? The first time your team won the championship? Your first visit to the beach? Your first time sensing God’s loving presence? As a parent I’ll always remember the FIRST day each of my children came into the world along with the FIRST time we brought each of them home, the FIRST time they cooed, crawled, walked or said “Dad-da”. FIRSTS are memorable, they often leave an impression that lasts like a footprint in wet cement. And in this case, they’re incredibly encouraging because they are seeds that are being sown in anticipation of a HARVEST! Hallelujah!!
CELEBRATING SO MANY FIRSTS -
After receiving the Articles of Incorporation for Journey Church last month Emily and I set up a bank account for the church. Two days later we went to write our FIRST check to the church only to find out someone had beat us by giving their FIRST gift online! (TWO FIRSTS ;)
We’ve had our FIRST person set up their recurring gift!
We’ve received our FIRST check in the mail!
We’ve received our FIRST IRA gift!
We’re having our FIRST info meeting for Journey Church this month!
We’re planning our FIRST interest party for Journey Church in January!
We’re planning our FIRST Journey Church OUTREACH EVENT in February!
So many FIRSTS to celebrate!
